If you’ve ever wanted to make some dry herb infused nut butter, now you can. Using the power of your botanical infuser and a food processor, you can easily create soft, creamy nut butter infused with your favorite herb at home in no time at all. Check out these step-by-step instructions on how to make nut butter with your botanical infuser and food processor.

Start With High-Quality Nuts

Almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, and macadamia nuts work best. Using premium nuts will help to boost your final product’s flavor. A tip: buy them in bulk instead of retail because you can usually get a better deal. Keeping them fresh and sealed in an airtight container or freezer bag will also help keep their natural oils from going rancid as quickly. Once you’ve purchased quality nuts for a great price, it’s time to make nut butter!

For The Infusion

You will need a handful of fine or coarsely ground dry herb and two cups of extra virgin olive oil. Add the dry herbs and oil into the infuser and close the lid. Select the oil preset (it will take 1 hour) and set the temperature to 160°F (71°C). Once the cycle has ended, put on your gloves and slowly pour the oil through the filter bag into a sterilized jar. Set aside 3 teaspoons of dry herb infused oil for this recipe.

Grind The Nuts In A Food Processor

Load your food processor with the nut of choice and process for one minute. Once the sides of the bowl have been scraped with a rubber spatula, continue processing for another minute. You'll need to repeat the processing and scraping until you reach a smooth and shiny texture.

Add Honey, Salt, And The Infused Olive Oil

Add salt, honey and Infused olive oil and continue processing until the texture is glossy.

Pour Into Container And Let Sit

Once you’re done, it’s time to pour them into your container. Let it sit for at least 4 hours to allow all of those little essential oils to make their way into your butter. Enjoy your dry herb infused nut butter! Use it as a spread on celery, apples, toast, smoothies, or anything else you would use nut butter. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place or keep refrigerated.
